Meet The Principal
Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year, Roosevelt Bears!
At Roosevelt, we believe every child has greatness within them—and it’s our job to help you discover it. Our school is a place where you are safe, where you are seen, and where you are supported. Learning here is meant to challenge you, engage you, and prepare you for the future. This is also a place where every voice matters, diversity is honored, and you know that you belong.
We don’t just teach lessons—we prepare leaders. Leaders who are ready to think, to grow, and to believe in their power to make a difference in the world. That is why our vision is simple: empowering minds, inspiring hearts, and preparing global citizens.
This year, we will follow our TRACKS to Success:
-
Trustworthy
-
Responsible
-
Ambitious
-
Knowledgeable
-
Scholars
These are the tracks every Bear leaves behind—a reminder that your actions, choices, and effort mark the path toward success. And this year, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to live out those TRACKS.
Our Dual Immersion program continues to grow in Kinder and 1st grade. We’ve added a TK/Kinder SDC class to welcome even more students into our Bear family. Roosevelt has also been recognized as an AVID Showcase School, a distinction earned by only 2% of schools in the country—proof of the hard work and determination our Bears show every day. Through Project Lead the Way and other programs, you’ll keep exploring, creating, and solving real-world challenges. And because we believe in working hard and playing hard, we’ll celebrate with fun activities, spirit events, and traditions that bring us together as one community.
Being here every day matters. Each day you come to school, you take another step forward—learning something new, building friendships, and discovering your strengths. Just like a cub grows into a bear one day at a time, you grow into the best version of yourself by showing up and giving your best effort.
That’s what it means to be a Roosevelt Bear. You may arrive as a Cub—still learning and finding your way—but with each step, each choice, and each lesson, you grow. By the time you leave, you will stand tall as a Bear: strong, confident, and ready to take on the world. That’s the journey we will walk together.
So let’s rise to the challenge, leave our tracks on the path to success, and make 2025–2026 our strongest year yet.
— Mrs. Soto Garcia, Principal
